Our team of seasoned mentors consists of expert wildlife photographers with years of experience, dedicated to guiding and enhancing your photography journey every step of the way.
Deepak Shankar is an accomplished wildlife photographer known for his stunning images of African and Indian wildlife. His passion for nature began in childhood, and in 2014, a trip to Yala National Park in Sri Lanka inspired him to pursue wildlife photography professionally. His work, which has been featured in leading global publications and exhibitions, earned him the runner-up title for the prestigious Greatest Maasai Mara Photographer of the Year award in 2019. Deepak’s unique vision captures the raw beauty of tigers, elephants, lions, and other majestic animals in their natural habitats.
With over six years of guiding experience across Africa and India, Deepak not only excels as a photographer but also as a dedicated mentor and wildlife guide. He leads immersive photography tours, sharing his expertise while advocating for wildlife conservation. His work stands as both a tribute to the beauty of the wild and a call for the urgent protection of natural habitats for future generations.

Ramachandiran Govindaraj, known for his profound connection to wildlife, transitioned from a technical career to his true passion: wildlife photography. Over the years, Ramachandiran has ventured across Africa and India, capturing the raw beauty of the wild through his lens. His journey began with a chance encounter in the wilderness of Bandipur, India, sparking a love for photography that reshaped his life.
An experienced Canon mentor and skipper for Shutter Monks Expeditions, Ramachandiran combines his technical expertise with a deep respect for nature. His work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions, emphasizing the importance of conservation and ethical wildlife photography. Through mentoring, he inspires others to appreciate and protect the natural world, fostering a new generation of mindful photographers.

Baishakhi Mazumder, fondly known as 'Bash,' is a passionate wildlife photographer who left behind a successful career as a Chartered Accountant and banker to pursue her true calling. Over the past decade, she has captured the beauty of wildlife across the globe, from the forests of India and the African savanna to the rainforests of South America and the icy Arctic. Her work has been internationally celebrated, including features in BBC Wildlife magazine and exhibitions worldwide.
Bash’s journey into wildlife photography began with a casual trip to Pench National Park, which sparked a passion that transformed her life. She views photography as a way to celebrate the untamed beauty of nature and is committed to mentoring aspiring photographers. Through her work, Bash raises awareness of critical conservation issues, encouraging a more thoughtful engagement with the natural world.
