Upon your arrival in Costa Rica, our Tour Skipper will meet you and will take you to our first hotel which is 1 hr drive.

Rest of the day is to relax in the hotel. Please note that meals are not included in the Tour fee on this day.

Transfer to Boca Tapada

We meet at 7:00 am and will start our way to Boca Tapada our first destination. Toucans, Aracaris, King Vulture, Parrots, honeycreepers are our main target at Boca Tapada. On the way we will stop at a Canopy where we will be able to shoot the speckled tanager, bay headed tanager and much more.

Drive: 4h-5h depends on traffic.

All day photography and overnight stay at Boca Tapada

We will meet up at the resort and head to the deck at 5:30-bam and start our session with beautiful light and great toucans, honeycreepers having amazing breaktast. After we will be heading to the Red Lapped Manakin zone, where it will show us its best dancing moves like Michael Jackson. Afternoon we will have multi-flash session, with hummingbirds, and macro session with poisonus frogs, and snakes.

Drive from Boca Tapada to Sarapiqui

Today we will haver another chance to shoot with the beautiful morning light the spectacular toucans. honeycreepers, tanagers, parrots, and much more. Atter breaktast we will be heading to the king Vulture hide where we will be having amazing chances to take a flying shot from the hide. After this session we will be heading to our next destination, Sarapiqui, where we will be heading to a private property where we will be able to shoot amazing Jacamars. Drive: 3h

Drive from Sarapiqui to the Talamanca Highlands

After the breakfast we will be heading to meet a naturalist guide where he will take us on a short walk inside the forest in search of the spectacled owl, honduran white bats, and whatever other species the nature wants to show us in the journey. Post the treck we will be heading to the talamanca highlands of Costa Rica. The drive will picturesque with stunning views of the cloud forests.

Photography and overnight at Talamanca Highlands

We start the day early morning for the highlight bird of the tour and which is also regarded as one of the most stunning bird of the world - Resplendent Quetzal. November is reagarded as one of the best time to photograph the Quetzal as during this time of the year we will have the chance of take photos of the bird on perch with beautiful foliage as backdrop.

Exploring Talamanca Highlands

Today morning also we first fo for the Resplendent Quetzal in early morning lights near avocardo trees. Post lunch in the afternoon we will rest at a famous spot where the Fiery throated hummingbird will be located as well other jewels like Talamancas Hummingbird, an endemic bird of Costa Rica along with stunning views of the cloud forest.

Driving from the Highlands to the Pacific Area Lowlands

Today will have the final chance to shoot the Resplendent Quetzal, since it is such a special bird we want to ensure all particiapnts have ample opportunity to make amzing images of the bird in its natural habitat. After the morning session we will be heading to the Pacific area. In the afternoon we embark on a boat ride on river tarcoles, where we will be having great chances to shoot frigates, crocodiles, kingfishers, many water birds, herons and more. Drive: 3-4h

Full Day Photography in the Pacific area low lands and drive to San Jose

This morning we will meet an amazing naturalist, he will show us, owls, mot mots, macaws, trogons, and much more.

Post the day's photogrpahy session we will drive to San Jose. Drive: 1h

Transfer to SJO Airport and Departure

It's time to go back home and check all those amazing photos you have made during the trip in this birder's paradise.

After breakfast our staff will drop you off to the airport.
